Renova takes in great consideration customer’s needs, and it’s precisely from customers’ feedback that we designed Duplex, a roll ejector chuck for roll stands.

Duplex combines a torque activated chuck with a pneumatic telescopic piston concentric to the mechanical chuck. It has been designed to cope with the difficulties that often occur when loading and unloading rolls from the roll stands. Optimizing paper production processes and reducing waste is fundamental for safeguarding the plant’s economy as well as for pursuing ecological purposes.

Reel core slippage, core damage or excessive residual paper on the core: these are only few of the problems which can occur, in addition to the failed core ejection from the roll stand which forces the operator to intervene with unsafe manual operations.

This revolutionary core chuck always ensures to lock and then safely release any dimension roll from roll stand. By eliminating manual unload operations, it prevents injuries and reduces risks for the operator according to the Technical Standards ISO 11228 Ergonomics – Manual Handling, “Lifting and Carrying” and “Handling of low loads at high frequency”.
